Extracted Season 2 release date: When the one-of-a-kind reality competition returns to Fox

The reality show that puts the "wild" in "wilderness" returns soon.

Extracted is a Fox reality TV competition show like no other. The series sends amateur survivalists into the Canadian wilderness, where they must survive by foraging for food and building shelter. And the catch? Their extraction is controlled by another set of teammates, who are safe and sound back in the TV studio. So, when exactly can you expect the release date for Extracted Season 2 to arrive on Fox?

The Extracted Season 2 release date is January 26, 2026 on Fox. It has been less than a year since the previous season of the show concluded on April 21, 2025. It has yet to be announced how many episodes will comprise the season. And I don't need to tell you that it's just one of many upcoming TV and streaming release dates you'll want to mark on your calendar. Here's the official trailer for Extracted Season 2:

In Extracted, lone amateur survivalists are dropped into the forest around Mandalay Lake in British Columbia, Canada. There, they'll be left to fend for themselves while they're recorded by cameras placed around the woods. Meanwhile, there are two companions for each competitor, who are friends or family of the survivalist. They watch the action from a nearby studio. At key points, the companions must decide whether or not to send the competitors care packages via drone. And only the companions can press the button that "extracts" the survivalists. Why subject yourself to the full Hatchet treatment? At the end of the season, the last survivalist team standing is awarded a whopping $250,000.

The release date for the season premiere of Extracted Season 2 on Fox is January 26, 2026.
