Are you a Game of Thrones fan/Dragon Egg collector with a spare fortune? Boy, do I have good news for you
Yep, Daenerys Targaryen's dragon eggs from Game of Thrones season 1, episode 1 are going to be up for auction soon. But they'll be a Red Wedding on anyone's wallet

Popverse's top stories
- Who shot first, Han or Greedo? Harrison Ford finally answers the longtime Star Wars debate (and it’s pretty much what you expect)
- Yellowstone inspired a cinematic universe, but Taylor Sheridan can't stand Marvel Studios' storytelling: "You know nothing."
- When Kentarou Miura began Berserk, he did so with one fear. That fear took six years to get over
Here's a bit of cool news for you Game of Thrones fans out there: Daenerys Targaryen's dragons eggs are up for auction. Here's a bit of less cool news: they might end up being more expensive in our world than in actual Westeros. Let us explain.
We came across the fact that the iconic Game of Thrones props will be going up for auction thanks to Entertainment Weekly, who let us know that Daenerys's dragon's eggs, which we saw in the very first episode of the franchise base on George R.R. Martin's iconic book series, will be available for worldwide bidders at Heritage Auctions this month. And before we get into why it probably won't be you that makes the winning big, check out an official picture of the set below.

Pretty cool, right? I bet you're thinking of exactly where they'd look best in your house. But here's the thing - depending on where you bought said house (if, unlike myself, reader, home ownership is within your price range), the eggs might be more expensive than the home you imagined them in.
As you can see in the Heritage link above, the going bid for the set of eggs is already at $25K, and technically, the bid hasn't even started yet. For just a small idea of how much they might go up in price, keep in mind that (as EW reports), prototypes for the fantasy props have gone for as much as $100K at auction before. And those aren't even the ones that made it onscreen.
We'll know more about how much these eggs actually go for once the bidding officially begins July 15. Until then, we'll be googling 'make dragon eggs at home.'
Game of Thrones is streaming now on HBO Max.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 1 may have wrapped on HBO Max, but with House of the Dragon season 3 coming just around the corner, it's always a great time to read up on all things Game of Thrones.
