Something big is coming to Crunchyroll this summer. Actually, make that a lot of somethings. Kaiju No. 8, one of our favorite superhero anime of 2024 (sorry My Hero Academia) is returning for a fresh dose of hijinks, action, and gory explosions. You can catch it all when Kaiju No. 8 season two’s release date hits Crunchyroll arrives in July 2025.

As part of an unreasonably packed Summer 2025 anime season, new episodes of Kaiju No. 8 are coming soon. The Kaiju No. 8 season two release date is July 19, 2025, with new episodes landing weekly on Crunchyroll. That is a slightly later start than most Summer 2025 anime, though we still expect this season to wrap up in the first week in October so it shouldn’t interfere with too many other shows coming to us in the Fall.

Last season, the world learned that Kafka isn’t just a goofy guy who is too stubborn to know when to quit; he is actually a friendly Kaiju in disguise. However, he’s not the only human-kaiju hybrid out there. Kaiju No. 9’s plan to wipe out humanity comes to a head in season two of Kaiju No. 8 and the stakes are higher than ever. The show was so big last year that Crunchyroll had the English dub released at the same time as the show aired in Japan, something relatively unheard of in the anime industry.

Kaiju No. 8 season two lands on July 19, 2025, with new episodes following weekly on Crunchyroll exclusively.
