Vincent D’Onofrio teases a Daredevil: Born Again scene that was so goofy, Marvel had to be cut from the series

Vincent D’Onofrio shares a funny story about how a Daredevil: Born Again scene couldn’t come together.

There’s no doubt about it, Vincent D’Onofrio is one of the most fearsome villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. D’Onofrio began playing Wilson Fisk in the 2015 Netflix series Daredevil, giving viewers memorable scenes of violence, drama, and underworld intrigue.

D’Onofrio is currently filming Daredevil: Born Again, a sequel To the popular Netflix series. The Marvel Studios series will premiere on Disney+ in March 2025, bringing us more epic Kingpin scenes.

However, there’s one scene that won’t make it to the final version of the series. Speaking to a crowd at Tampa Bay Comic Convention, D’Onofrio shared a funny story about why one scene had to be reworked.

“When we were shooting Daredevil: Born Again, I won’t tell you what scenes, me and two other characters - which I can’t name - and Vanessa were in a scene together. We had to all come through this doorway together, and it was just a regular doorway. But the director wanted us to come in as close to each other as we could. We couldn’t do it without laughing because it looked like a scene from Love Boat or something. It looked so stupid. And once one of the actors started laughing, and I started laughing, we had to take a break.”

”Eventually, believe it or not, we had to change the whole scene because we could not concentrate.”

Hmmm, I wonder who the other two people are. Note to self…when Daredevil: Born Again premieres, look for a scene where Vanessa, Kingpin, and two other individuals enter a room.

Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney+ in March 2025.
