Something monstrous is on its way. We’re returning to the Monsterverse created by Legendary Pictures in just a few months. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 picks up where Godzilla and Season 1 left off, delivering massive creatures on a monumental scale. The release date for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 is coming in February 2026 to satisfy your kaiju needs.

We’ve known that a second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is on its way for a while now, but the Apple TV series has only recently confirmed when new episodes will be out. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 has a release date of February 27, 2026. That is when the first episode will be out, with new episodes coming out weekly every Friday until May 1, 2026.

The first trailer for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 has also been released by Apple TV, and it gives a few small hints about what to expect in the new season. We see some returning characters, including Lee Shaw, played by both Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell across the two time periods. More importantly, we seem to see more of Skull Island, home of Kong, in the trailer. And we also see a sea-based Titan with a mass of tentacles pulling a boat under the water.

What does this all mean for the future of Godzilla and the rest of Legendary’s Monsterverse? We won’t find out until Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 debuts on February 27, 2026 on Apple TV.
