Each season of the Netflix anthology biography series Monster, created by Ryan Murphy, focuses on a different real-life murderer, and Season 4 is no exception. While previous seasons focused on Jeffrey Dahmer, the Menendez brothers and Ed Gein, the new season will focus on an infamously murderous woman: Lizzie Borden. So when can you plan on the release date for Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story to arrive?

Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story stars Ella Beatty in the titular role. Also featured in the cast is Vicky Krieps as the Borden family housemaid Bridget Sullivan, as well as alleged serial killer Elizabeth Báthory. Charlie Hunnam plays Lizzie's father, Andrew Borden, while Rebecca Hall plays Lizzie's stepmother, Abby Borden. Rounding out the cast is Jessica Barden as Nance O'Neill, Joey Pollari as John Morse, Billie Lourd as Emma Borden, Sarah Paulson as Aileen Wuornos and Oliver Spenceman as Stephen.

The Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story release date is September 17th, 2026 on Netflix. The episode will consist of eight episodes, all of which will be available for streaming on that date. The third season of the series, Monster: The Ed Gein Story, was released about a year ago, on October 3rd, 2025. Of course, Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story is just one of the release dates you'll want to keep in mind in the months to come.
