Netflix's One Piece season 2 is the "coolest thing" Joe Manganiello thinks he's ever done, beating even True Blood & Magic Mike

Manganiello has played Deathstroke and a werewolf in True Blood, but One Piece is the coolest thing he's been in so far, he says.

We don’t know how far into One Piece Netflix plans to go for their live-action adaptation, but we do know that they’re going at least as far as the Alabasta arc. That means that we’ll be getting to see one of the series’ most popular early villains, Sir Crocodile aka Mr. 0, in action. Joe Manganiello has been cast as the iconic villain and says that what he’s seen of One Piece season two is one of the coolest things he’s ever worked on.

The actor, who is known for his ripped muscles and nerdy pursuits, spoke about what he’s seen of the second season of One Piece so far. “I’ve seen what we shot for season two,” Joe Manganiello said in a recent interview. “I went into the office and watched it. I don’t know that I’m ever gonna look that cool again. It’s about the coolest thing I think I have ever done. It’s awesome. The coolest thing I’ve ever done. It’s so cool.”

Keep in mind that Joe Manganiello likely isn’t in the show much this season – because they are splitting One Piece’s Alabasta Saga into two seasons (at least, if the show’s cast is to be believed), his scenes are probably limited to a few strategic cameos. Still, he continued to gush over what Netflix had put together for One Piece’s live-action show. “I couldn’t believe what I was watching because when you look at all those pieces, there’s a lot going on and it seems crazy, but all put together – and the set they built for me – it’s amazing.”

How much we get to see Sir Crocodile in season two of Netflix’s One Piece series is still up in the air, but at least Joe Manganiello looks really, really cool in it.
