Stranger Things season 5 will have "a hell of a payoff” for Hopper and Eleven’s relationship, according to David Harbour

David Harbour promises a huge payoff for Hopper and Eleven’s storyline in Stranger Things season five

Are you ready to say farewell to Hawkins, Indiana?

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is coming to Netflix this November, and there is a lot of ground to cover. The Netflix science fiction horror series will use their final season to wrap up various character threads, giving the audience some much needed culture.

For Jim Hopper, this means revisiting his relationship with Eleven. Over the years Hopper has become a father figure to Eleven, and when he was presumed dead, it shattered the young girl. The reunion between Hopper and Eleven in season four is one of the most emotional moments of the series.

According to Jim Hopper actor David Harbour, they’re just getting started.

“The other huge relationship arc that needs resolution is Hopper and Eleven. We saw a bit of their reunion at the end of season four. We’re definitely going to dive in and give you a hell of a payoff for that storyline,” Harbour says during a panel at Tampa Bay Comic Convention.

I don’t know what he means by “huge payoff,” but hopefully it’s not more heartbreak, because these two have been through a lot.

Stranger Things season five streams on Netflix on November 26.
