Netflix is betting big on One Piece to be one of its big series of 2026. They’ve already greenlit season three and seem to be spending a fortune to bring our beloved Tony Tony Chopper to life. With the reveal of the One Piece season two episode count and titles, we get not just an insight into what each episode will cover but also the movies that the writers were inspired by.

Over the weekend, the titles for each One Piece season two episode were uploaded onto the Writers Guild of America West database. From that, we know that there will be eight episodes in season two, the same number as in One Piece season one. More interestingly, most of the episode titles have a not-so-subtle reference to an iconic movie, which is a departure from season one, which drew inspiration from chapter titles from the One Piece manga.

The episode titles for One Piece season two are:

  • Episode 1: The Beginning of the End
  • Episode 2: Good Whale Hunting
  • Episode 3: Whisky Business
  • Episode 4: Big Trouble in Little Garden
  • Episode 5: Wax On, Wax Off
  • Episode 6: Nami Deerest
  • Episode 7: Deer and Loathing in Drum Kingdom
  • Episode 8:  Reindeer Shames

Other than episode one, which references the location of Loguetown as the final stop before pirates approach the Grand Line, each of the episode titles is an obvious pun on movie titles or immediately identifiable lines from movies. There is a chance they are placeholders, but if not, they tell us that the general flow of the episodes, with one episode being spent on most of the islands until the Drum Island arc gets three total.

One Piece season two is out in 2026 on Netflix, though no specific release date has been announced.
