The upcoming anime of Rooster Fighter has found its streaming home outside of the US, and it isn’t Crunchyroll or even Netflix. While those two still make up for a disproportionate amount of new anime coming out in the US and most of the world, Disney is taking a more focused approach to what it streams. Rooster Fighter, one of the most anticipated new anime coming out this year, is going to be streaming on Hulu and Disney+ in most markets the day after it airs on Adult Swim’s Toonami block.

The Rooster Fighter release date is March 14, 2026, putting it right in the middle of the current anime season. The series feels like the best parts of One Punch Man, with wild, over-the-top action and fighting combined with a ridiculous concept. Rooster Fighter follows Keiji, who defends humanity from monsters known as “demons.” The twist here is that Keiji is a rooster with superhuman strength and speed.

We’ve known that Rooster Fighter was coming to Toonami for a few weeks, but this is the first time we’ve known who was handling streaming duties for the anime. The day after the show debuts on Adult Swim, Hulu and Disney+ will carry the new episode of Rooster Fighter. While Disney+ doesn’t have the huge range of anime that either Crunchyroll or Netflix does, they typically manage to have at least one or two big shows a season. Later this year, they’ll be carrying the finale of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, for example. Rooster Fighter is set to be a big show next month, and seeing it on Disney+ shows that every streamer sees the anime market is worth tapping into.

Rooster Fighter debuts on Adult Swim’s Toonami block on March 14, 2026 and will peck its way onto Hulu and Disney+ a few hours later.
