No, you're not repeatedly mishearing 'Montauk.' 'MomTok' is a real thing, and it refers to a group of Mormon mom influencers who went viral after an infamous "soft-swinging" scandal that exploded over TikTok. None of these words are in the Bible, I know. I suppose 'MormTok' doesn't quite have a catchy ring to it in comparison. Or maybe 'MormTok' is already real on TikTok. I wouldn't know, I don't use TikTok because it freaks me out.

Anyways, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' season 2 will be released on Hulu on May 15, 2025. The first season of the show exploded in popularity on the streamer, likely because of just how wild the original scandal was. Or maybe because the women of #MomTok all have the same hairstyle and fashion sense, which makes it difficult to tell them apart, thus inviting viewers to get their Benoît Blanc on and figure out what really happened to whom. If you don't believe me, you can take a look at the trailer for season 2 below.

Season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has spawned a ton of video essays on YouTube taking a closer look at the drama between the women of MomTok in order to make it sense. I don't know about you, but a considerable part of my brain is already busy keeping track of multiple generations of the Targaryen family tree wreath from George R.R. Martin's Fire and Blood book. When it comes to MomTok, I need detailed lectures.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will begin streaming on Hulu on May 15, 2025.
