Saturday Night Live has made, boosted, and memed a greta deal of some of America's most popular entertainers of the modern age. So as it celebrates its staggering 50th birthday this year, there are quite a few famous faces that want to wish it well. Variety recently reported a number of newly announced guests, and we thought we'd mark the occassion by listing out everyone confirmed to appear on SNL's 50th Anniversary Special.
SNL wouldn't be what it was without the flagrantion of famous funnymakers that have, at one time or another, been part of either the cast or writing team on the cornerstone sketch show. The current list of SNL alumni returning to NBC for the SNL 50 special are:

But of course, a huge part of Saturday Night Live is the celebrity guests the show gets to host each week, some of whom have made more of an impression than others. Marking this particular occasion are the following list of memorable MCs, all of whom have made significant contributions to the series over its five decades:

The SNL 50 special will air on NBC & Peacock at 8 p.m. EST on February 16, which means there are still a few days as of this writing for the above lists to expad. If they do, you can bet that Popverse will be updating them just as soon as we know; we haven't been around for 50 years, but we're pretty good at working live.
