St. Denis Medical Season 3: Release date, timeslot and mockumentary filmmaking

The series features sitcom all-star Wendi McLendon-Covey

St. Denis Medical is a workplace comedy set in an underfunded Oregon hospital, following the professional and personal trials and travails of those who work there. The Season 2 finale debuted on April 6th, 2026, and fans promptly began asking whether the show would return for another season. Today we can confirm that NBC has renewed St. Denis Medical for Season 3, so you can expect new episodes to arrive beginning in November 2026.

The cast is lead by Wendi McLendon-Covey, who plays St. Denis Medical Director Joyce Henderson. She works alongside surgeon Bruce (Josh Lawson), grumpy emergency physician Ron (David Alan Grier), workaholic supervising nurse Alex (Allison Tolman), rambunctious travel nurse Serena (Kahyun Kim), registered nurse Matt (Mekki Leeper) and surly nurse administrator Val (Kaliko Kauahi). The show has also had a plethora of impressive guest stars over the course of its first two seasons, including Ariana Madix, Wayne Knight, Kristen Schaal, Mindy Sterling and Sam Richardson.

In a panel reported on by IndieWire, series co-creator and showrunner Eric Ledgin spoke to the trust he had in those on set, saying, “We’re very lucky. You can imagine a set where you have actors where you might have to go, ‘Listen, David and Josh have stuff, so we have to make sure that the water bottle thing doesn’t get [out of hand.]’ We’re very lucky we don’t have that. We have a sense of professionalism and trust, and it works.” Here's a complication clip from St. Denis Medical:

St. Denis Medical Season 3 will begin in the fall of 2026. The season premiere is schedule to air on NBC on Monday, November 2nd, 2026 at 8:00 PM ET/PT, and it will be available for streaming the next day on Peacock.
