Stranger Things core cast hasn't seen the Netflix series finale - but they do know where they'll be when it drops

Will Byers himself, AKA Noah Schnapp, says there's a cast watch party planned for the Stranger Things season 5 finale (Hopefully someone will remember to bring tissues)

You've almost certainly already made plans to watch the Stranger Things season 5 finale when it drops, right? I mean, it is over a holiday, and you definitely don't want the internet to spoil it for you, do you? One group of pals that are in exactly the same boat are the Stranger Things cast themselves. You'll recall Popverse reporting on the fact that the Stranger Things cast themselves haven't actually seen the season 5 finale - and now, we know how they're planning on viewing it for the first time. Together, of course.

The story comes from Will Byers himself, Noah Schnapp, who recently appeared on Good Morning America to explain what his holiday plans were involving the colossal Netflix sci-fi show, which is at last ending after revolutionizing the streaming service and, in many ways, modern pop culture.

"I'm kinda nervous to watch it," Schnapp told his interviewer of the finale. "Once you watch that, it's just done. That's the last episode we're ever gonna watch together. It's so emotional [...] I can't even fathom what it's going to be like to watch. But yeah, we're gonna sit together as a group and watch it together one last time. I'm probably going to be sobbing the rest of the day; the rest of the month, probably."

On a personal note, though, Schnapp said that this group-watch likely won't be the last time he's watching the finale. Not even the last time he'll be watching it as a group

"Then I'll watch it with my family in theaters, probably, on New Year's [Eve]," said the actor. Remember, gang, Netflix is screening the Stranger Things season 5 (and series) finale in theaters across the US. If you get tickets, who knows? Maybe Will Byers himself will be there, still probably sobbing.

His words, not ours.

Stranger Things season 5 volume 1 is on Netflix now, followed by volume 2 on December 25, and the ultimate finale of the series on December 31.
