Superman & Lois CW star Bitsie Tulloch provides update on potential Grimm revival

"All I've heard is that it would initially be a movie," said Tulloch, who plays both Lois Lane in Superman & Lois and Grimm's Juliette, "And then if the movie works, it would it would be a series."

Though she'll forever be known by DC fans as one of the greatest Lois Lanes on TV, Superman & Lois star was no stranger to genre television even before being cast. That's because, for six years, Tulloch was one of the stars of mythical police procedural Grimm, in which she played lead female character Juliette Silverton. Known for its dark fantasy vibes and sense of humor, the show has had fans interested in a revival ever since its cancellation in 2017. And recently, Tulloch herself had a message about just that.

Tulloch was in GalaxyCon Raleigh 2025 this past July for a Superman & Lois talkback panel and audience Q&A. During the latter half, Tulloch was asked about the show's revival, which was first confirmed as in the works by Deadline earlier this year.

"[The show's popularity] kind of skyrocketed," Tulloch explained, "I forget which streamer got it, but it started skyrocketing to the top and I think Peacock realized there might be life in this show."

"So, there is a writer who's working on a reboot right now," the actor continued enigmatically, "I don't know what that means. I don't know if it's going to go or not. All I've heard is that it would initially be a movie and then if the movie works, it would it would be a series. David's the only one who's met with the writer. I've had email conversations with him, but David's the only one who actually sat down and met with him."

As if the identity of the mysterious writer is not a big enough question mark already, we're not even 100% sure which "David" Tulloch is referring to here. Since she was his costar across six seasons, it wouldn't be wild to assume that she's talking about series lead David Giuntoli, who played the series' primary monster-hunter, Nick Burkhardt. However, Grimm was also created by a guy called David Greenwalt, one of the executive producers of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and co-creator of its spinoff Angel.

Let's hope we get an answer to that question soon, preferably in the form of an official Grimm announcement from Peacock.

Superman & Lois is streaming now on HBO Max. Grimm is streaming on Peacock.
