Sweet Magnolias season 5 release date: When the romantic drama returns to Netflix

Sweet Magnolias is the story of three South Carolina women who are lifelong friends and support each other through the trials, joys and tribulations of their lives. The series is based on the novels by Sherryl Woods, and the show was developed by Sheryl J. Anderson. So, when can you expect the release date for Sweet Magnolias Season 5 to arrive on Netflix?

The Sweet Magnolias Season 5 release date is June 11, 2026 on Netflix. The series originally debuted on May 19, 2020 and it will be about a year and a half between releases, as the fourth season debuted on February 6, 2025. The fifth season will be comprised of ten episodes, all of which will be simultaneously released on June 11. Naturally, that's just one of the exciting TV and streaming show release dates you have to remember for the coming year. A trailer for Sweet Magnolias Season 5 is not yet available.

Sweet Magnolias is the story of Maddie Townsend (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Helen Decatur (Heather Headley) and Dana Sue Sullivan (Brooke Elliott). Together, the three women call their friend group the "Sweet Magnolias." They live in the small South Carolina town of Serenity, where everyone knows everyone else. At the end of the fourth season, Maddie received a job offer in publishing - but she'd have to relocate to New York City in order to accept it. But long distance won't stop these friends, as in the fifth season, all three of the Sweet Magnolias head to the Big Apple.
