The Amazing Race season 38 release date: When the reality competition show returns to CBS

The thirty-eighth season of The Amazing Race will be arriving on CBS before you know it.

The long-running reality competition series The Amazing Race will soon be returning to your TV screen for season 38. Since 2001, the show has aired on CBS, and the thirty-eighth season will be no exception. Hosted, as always, by Phil Keoghan, the upcoming season of The Amazing Race promises more of the high stakes adventure you've come to expect from the series. But when can you expect to watch the first episode of The Amazing Race season 38 for yourself?

The Amazing Race season 38 release date is September 25, 2025 at 9:00 PM ET on CBS. Following its Thursday debut, new episodes of The Amazing Race season 38 will air on Wednesday, after new episodes of Survivor. The remaining episodes in The Amazing Race's thirty-eighth season will be subsequently released on a weekly basis. It has been only a few months since the previous season of The Amazing Race concluded, on May 15, 2025. And of course, it's only one of the shows that you can anticipate enjoying this fall.

In The Amazing Race, competitors participate in globe-trotting adventures in an effort to be the first to cross the finish line by any means necessary. They are compelled to navigate unfamiliar cultures, undertake mental and physical challenges, deduce clues and travel by air, land and sea in order to reach their destination. Along the way, teams are eliminated. And when the final remaining team crosses the finish line first, they take home the prize money (and serious bragging rights).

Season 38 of The Amazing Race will air September 25 on CBS.
