The Diplomat is the hit thriller series starring Keri Russell as Kate Wyler, a vetran United States diplomat who finds herself appointed to be the ambassador to the United Kingdom against the background of an international crisis. The critically acclaimed series and Russell’s performance have both been nominated for Emmy Awards. So when can you plan for the arrival of the release date for The Diplomat Season 3 on Netflix?

The Diplomat Season 3 release date is October 16 on Netflix. The third season of the series will be comprised of eight episodes, all of which will be released simultaneously on the sixteenth. It’s been roughly a year since the second season of The Diplomat was released on Netflix on October 31, 2024. In The Diplomat Season 3, Wyler has accused U.S. Vice President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) of concocting a terrorist plot. Further complicating matters is the fact that Wyler admitted she was gunning for the VP position herself. However, the President of the United States is now dead and Hal (Rufus Sewell), Wyler’s husband, may be inadvertently responsible. Now Penn is the leader of the free world. But Hal is still campaigning to make Wyler the VP. Meanwhile, Wyler cultivates a complex friendship with Foreign Secretary Austin Dennison (David Gyasi) and a questionable relationship with First Gentleman Todd Penn (Bradley Whitford).
