Soon, the release date for The Rising of the Shield Hero season 4 on Crunchyroll will arrive. So when can you expect to watch the next season of the ongoing anime?

The Rising of the Shield Hero season 4 release date is July 9 on Crunchyroll. The anime adaptation of The Rising of the Shield Hero was first announced nearly a decade ago, in June 2017, and the series premiered in January 2019. Now, it's been nearly a year and a half since the final episode of The Rising of the Shield Hero season 3 debuted in December 2023. While you wait for the release date of The Rising of the Shield Hero season 4, there are plenty of other high-profile releases for you to check out. Here's the trailer for the upcoming season: 

The Rising of the Shield Hero is the story of Naofumi Iwatani, a laid-back Japanese youth who suddenly finds himself in an entirely new world. He and four other young Japanese men from parallel worlds are summoned to the parallel dimension together. There they are to become the four Cardinal Heroes in a war against interdimensional monsters. Each of the four heroes are outfitted with their own equipment. And Naofumi received the Legendary Shield. In The Rising of the Shield Hero season 4, the anime turns towards a darker tone as it deals with the fallout from the events of the third season.

Season 4 of The Rising of the Shield Hero will be released on July 9 on Crunchyroll.
