The constant yearning for more Virgin River has been agonizing for fans. Season 6 of the Netflix hit aired back in December 2024, but Season 7 was pushed into 2026 even as Season 8 was confirmed in mid-2025. So, when is the Virgin River Season 7 release date? It has recently been narrowed down by one of the show’s stars.

We still don’t know the exact release date, but Ben Hollingsworth, who has played Dan Brady in every season of Virgin River, recently said that the Virgin River Season 7 release date will be sometime in March 2026. That is significantly narrower than what Netflix has said, which is that Virgin River would return sometime in 2026.

It is worth mentioning that Netflix hasn’t confirmed or denied what Hollingsworth said during the interview, so it is possible that the star has it wrong or spoke out of turn in saying Virgin River Season 7 would be out in March 2026. These things always change, and he may have been working on older information. Until we hear from Netflix, it is safe not to get our hopes up.

As is often the case, Virgin River Season 6 left off with a couple of big cliffhangers and with love triangles unresolved. We don’t know what exactly will happen in Season 7, but we do know that it will be followed by Season 8. There are 22 Virgin River novels, novellas, and short stories to work from, though, so it is unlikely that Netflix will run out of material to adapt.

Virgin River Season 7 doesn’t have an official release date from Netflix, but one of its stars has said it will be out in March 2026. We’ll have to wait and see if that is the case.
