What to Watch June 2025: Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Disney+ & more bring blockbuster entertainment to streaming

Hearts of Iron, Islands of Love, and Games of... Squid. It's not your local theater's lineup, it's what to stream in June

It used to be that 'summer blockbusters' were a particularly cinematic affair, but with the line between TV and movies blurring more every day, I think it's safe to say that blockbusters are coming to TV - or rather, streaming. Case in point, the huge offerings from your favorite streaming services next month.

In order to put together this What to Watch for June 2025, we went through everything from a new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to prestige culinary drama to the most-viewed show Netflix has seen to date... but we're getting ahead of ourselves. Check out this list to see what blockbuster streaming you can do next month.

What's streaming on Netflix in June 2025

Look, folks, we're not gonna beat around the bush here. Absolutely, the most anticipated series coming to Netflix in June 2025 is the third and final (?) season of Squid Game. That's not to say you shouldn't also check out the next season of Arnold Schwarzenegger comedy FUBAR or that LEGO animated Pharrell biopic; it's just that neither of those is going to feature a giant doll that orders executions.

At least, I don't think? I don't know too much about Pharrell.

Adapted from the novel of the same name by E. Lockhart, YA-thriller We Were Liars is bringing some summer shivers to Amazon Prime Video. Heads up to all you Gone Girl fans out there - author Lockhart admits that the inspiration for this story (published as a book in 2014) came from Gillian Flynn's modern-day classic of female-led thrillers.

What's streaming on Hulu in June 2025

In this helter-skelter world of modern streaming, it's almost strange when a hit TV show airs one season exactly a year after its predecessor, but that's exactly what's going down with Hulu's hit kitchen drama The Bear. Then again, The Bear's whole thing is getting things done on time - even if it takes a whole lot of stress (and a few more tight t-shirts) to accomplish that.

The Bear, season 4 June 25 Live-action series

What's streaming on Disney+ in June 2025

Two major franchise entries are headed to Disney+ this coming month, though the stories themselves couldn't be more different. The first is the long-awaited revival of Phineas and Ferb, which has been off the air for over a decade, and the second is Ironheart, the Marvel Studios sequel/spinoff of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever that stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams.

Oh, and a heads up to all you Drag Race fans out there - the latter series will also star fan-favorite Shea Couleé, winner of season 5.

What's coming to Apple TV+ in June 2025

Steamy period drama The Buccaneers is back on Apple TV+ this month, continuing the adventure that season 1 started. Although to be fair, the adventure started all the way back in 1937, when literary titan Edith Wharton began the novel on which it is based. However, that novel was never finished, leaving room for the show to expand on Wharton's ideas for a modern audience. The series will air new episodes weekly until the first week of August.

Title Streaming Date Type
Stick, season 1 June 4 Live-action series
Not a Box, season 1 June 13 Animated series
The Buccaneers, season 2 June 18 Live-action series
Smoke, season 1 June 27 Live-action series

What's coming to Peacock in June 2025

And last but not even remotely least, NBC's Peacock is bringing reality show fans back to one of their favorite places on earth: Love Island. Well, the USA kind. Season 7 is bringing host Ariana Madix for a new season after her first one last year, plus a host of new couples, plenty of drama, and an absolutely gratuitous amount of firelit pectoral closeups.

And don't pretend you don't love it, you little freak.

Title Streaming Date Type
Love Island USA, season 7 June 3 Reality series
Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together, season 1 June TBA Reality series
Gilgo Beach Killer: The House of Secrets, season 1 Juen TBA Docuseries
