What's streaming on Netflix in September 2025

I do have to hand it to Netflix for gradually dunking us all into Spooky Season 2025, like a parent with a child learning to swim. You know of course that I'm talking about the second half of smash-hit goth teen drama Wednesday season 2, but I'd also like to point out the upcoming animated comedy Haunted Hotel, which is about... well, it's about a Haunted Hotel.
I guess I also have to hand it to Netflix for being upfront about what they're giving us.

What's streaming on Amazon Prime Video in September 2025

It's been over a year since fans have visited the grisly but oh-so-fascinating universe of Prime Video's THe Boys, and at long last, we'll gte to return. Not with the upcoming The Boys season 5, of course, but with the sophomore season of its spinoff, Gen V. And if a girl with blood-based superpowers somehow isn't messed up enough for you, this month will also see the return of the deeply disturbed Hell-centered comedy Helluva Boss.

What's streaming on HBO Max in September 2025

I don't know about you, but I'm getting major Mare of Easttown vibes from everything I've seen of HBO's upcoming Task series. It's about a conflicted law enforcement officer facing down a crime that is shaking the roots of their own community, set on the backdrop of a modern, rural American community - sound familiar?

What's streaming on Hulu in September 2025

Believe me, I'm so excited to see the Only Murders in the Building Gang back on the case for another incident at the most homicide-prone building in the northeast, and yet, I won't pretend I'm not even more excited that the Planet Express crew is returning to Hulu for Futurama season 13. Yes, I know that some folks don't consider this the 13th season, but no amount of excitement for a show is going to make me argue with that type of person.

What's streaming on Paramount+ in September 2025

You know, we all hear terms like "connected universe" and "multi-pronged storytelling saga" and think of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but I'd humbly like to remind you that the folks at NCIS have been telling stories across spinoffs and sequels ever since 1995. Three decades later (eat it, Feige), a new chapter in that epic world comes to Paramount+ when beloved characters Anthony DiNozzo and Ziva David captain their spinoff in the sprawling franchise.
A franchise that never made Quantumania, I'll point out.

Tulsa King, season 3 | September 21 | Live-action series |
What's streaming on Disney+ in September 2025

This September, an animated spinoff of one of Disney's biggest franchise returns us to an alternate universe of terrifying possibilities. Our favorite heroes have been transformed into unrecognizable monsters, the whole of reality is at stake, and if the fans get what they really want, there will be more Darth Jar Jar.
Wait, did you think I was talking about Marvel Zombies? Well, that's coming out this September too, I guess. But in this house, we stan the LEGO Star Wars Saga, which is returning for another chapter of Rebuild the Galaxy. There's a giant Chewbacca in this one!
Title | Streaming Date | Type |

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, season 2 | September 12 | Live-action series |
Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past, season 1 | September 19 | Animated series |

What's coming to Peacock in September 2025

It's hard to believe, I know, but next month will see the NBC-based streamer Peacock presenting the type of show that few people thought possible - that is, an actual spinoff of the American Office. When The Paper drops at the end of the month, I have to assume that quite a few doubters will be turning in, not expecting to be impressed. And yet, I also imagine that their ranks will only add to what is sure to be a high number of debut viewers, doubtful or not.
Title | Streaming Date | Type |
---|---|---|
Love Island Games, season 2 | September 16 | Reality series |
The Paper, season 1 | September 25 | Live-action series |
Big Ten Saturday night, new season | September 27 | Live sporting event |
What's coming to Apple TV+ in September 2025

And last but not at all least is Apple TV+, which is sneakily becoming the absolute place for prestige streaming drama. Case in point, both the critically acclaimed The Morning Show and Slow Horses are returning for seasons 4 and 5 respectively, an achievement which even titans like Netflix struggle to get some of their shows to these days. I'm just saying - we've got some impressive entries on this list, but how many of them do you see above a season 3?
Besides Futurama.
Title | Streaming Date | Type |
---|---|---|
The Morning Show, season 4 | September 17 | Live-action series |
Slow Horses, season 5 | September 24 | Live-action series |
The Savant, season 1 | September 26 | Live-action series |
That's all the major streaming movies and TV shows on our radar right now, but we'll be updating this list as more information becomes available. For those updates, and for all you need to know about the future of streaming, keep an eye on Popverse.
