Yellowstone sequel and spin-off Y: Marshals release date is almost here - this time on CBS

The Yellowstone series is switching from cable to network TV for the first time.

Have you found yourself still pining for the romance and wonder of Yellowstone but can’t deal with the fact that the show has finally come to an end? Well, fret not, because the story isn’t quite over yet. Y: Marshals is an upcoming sequel series to Yellowstone. While Kevin Costner won’t be making an appearance, there will be plenty of familiar faces on your screen when the Y: Marshals release date finally rolls around.

There has been no shortage of spin-offs to Yellowstone, so it wasn’t surprising that Luke Grimes would be back with his own show featuring his Kayce Dutton character. Y: Marshals follows on from the events of Yellowstone and is both a spin-off and a sequel to that series. The Y: Marshals release date is March 1, 2026 on CBS, with new episodes airing on Sundays at 8:00 pm ET. This is the first show in the series to air on network TV – previous entries have either been released on the Paramount Network or streamed on Paramount+.

Y: Marshals follows Kayce Dutton, again played by Luke Grimes, as he joins a specialized group of US Marshals tasked with protecting Montana from all varieties of threats. We don’t yet know what those threats will look like in this new show, but, considering it is a spin-off to Yellowstone, we expect it to have plenty of drama and backstabbing along the way.

The release date for Y: Marshals is March 1, 2026 on CBS, with new episodes airing weekly at 8:00 pm ET on Sundays thereafter.
