DC's Absolute Power begins to build in June, as Superman, Batman and other DC heroes see the threat take shape
What Amanda Waller is planning for DC's big summer event remains a mystery, but we know these comics are part of the plan

Beyond the surprising new elements of DC's June 2024 line-up - Nightwing’s origin is getting the anniversary treatment, and longtime Superman villain Brainiac is coming clean about his new origin - it’s the end of an era for DC in that month, with the final full month of the 'Dawn of DC' — and also the end of the House of Brainiac in the Superman titles, and maybe the end of Batman’s inner conflict, as well. But… if everything is ending, does that mean that something else is about to begin?
The answer is a firm yes: Absolute Power, DC’s big summer event storyline officially begins in July, but there are plenty of comics in the June line-up that are part of the build-up. (There was also the one-shot prelude Absolute Power: Ground Zero announced for this month back in February that suspiciously doesn’t appear in the June solicitations, but don’t be surprised if it gets retro-solicited for June release in next month’s solicits so as to not spoil things in the meantime.) Wondering what June comic books you should be reading to prepare for Absolute Power? Wonder no more — just keep reading.
