Absolute Carrie Kelley and Absolute Damian Wayne are going to be "kind of tricky"... but Absolute Batman boss Scott Snyder says he has thoughts & ideas

Carrie Kelley & Damian Wayne is coming to Absolute Batman, according to Scott Snyder

The Robins just debuted recently in DC Comics' Absolute Batman, but there's two big ones missing: Damian Wayne and Carrie Kelley. Series writer/architect Scott Snyder didn't forget about them... his plans (yes, there's plans) are just a bit different and distant for those two.

"For me, the Robins like Carrie, I do have thoughts for Carrie Kelley, definitely. I've got to run them by [Frank Miller] because I would never do that without asking him," Snyder tells ComicPop Returns. "Carrie and Damian are the two that are kind of tricky because you want to stay with the ones that are more associated with Batman's mainline universe."

Snyder, who has written the mainline Damian Wayne extensively, says that due to the fact that the traditional son of Batman was the result of Bruce and Talia Al Ghul hooking up, and they haven't met yet in the Absolute DC universe and Bruce is only 25 at this time, making any child being more than just an infant hard to come by.

Also, Absolute Batman hasn't really left Gotham.

"I felt like it would be kind of shoehorned in if I tried to do it," Snyder says, with an unspoken 'but...'. "So I do have an idea for Damian that came recently that I think is really strong and I'm very excited about it, but that would be more in 2027, so it's not coming anytime soon."

On top of the promise of Damian Wayne and Carrie Kelley eventually planned to join the Absolute DC Universe, that means Snyder and the Absolute crew have no intention of slowing down anytime soon, with their plans extending into next year at least.

Here's an update to date guide on the Absolute Batman release schedule.
