Bleach release schedule (updated June 2026): Will the iconic Shonen Jump manga return and when?
Rumors about the Bleach manga's return are swirling. Here is what we know.

Our Bleach release schedule can help you navigate all the rumors and speculation around the hit manga’s supposed return. Ten years after the initial run ended, Tite Kubo’s iconic shonen manga looks like it may be returning for an upcoming new arc in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump. We’ll talk you through the validity of these rumors and make sure you know what the official Bleach release schedule will be going forward.
How often do Bleach chapters come out?
The most recent chapter of Bleach was released on August 10, 2021. It was a 73-page bonus chapter that was released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original manga’s release. If you’re thinking of the main story, Bleach ran from August 7, 2001 to August 22, 2016. With the main story having been completed nearly a decade ago, new chapters aren’t released very often.
When will the next chapter of Bleach be released?

There is currently no release date for any new chapters of Bleach, but there are rumors that a new story arc will be coming out soon. These are unconfirmed leaks and rumors, which should be taken with a pinch of salt. However, the speculation is that a new Bleach story arc, expanding on the previously released Hell Arc chapter, will come out soon.
What is the Hell Arc chapter about in Bleach?
The Hell Arc chapter in Bleach takes place ten years after the events of the Thousand Year Blood War arc in the manga. It follows Ichigo, who has married Orihime and has a son named Kazui. During a Soul Funeral Ceremony for Captain Jushiro Ukitake, it is revealed that the ceremony is going to send all deceased captains to Hell. The chapter ends on a cliffhanger, implying further adventures are coming. However, Tite Kubo has never expanded on it further.
Why do people think Bleach is returning?
Rumors started to spread in late June 2026 that Bleach was returning to the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump for a new batch of serialized chapters. These rumors have not been confirmed by Shueisha, but there are reasons to believe it is possible. Sakamoto Days is nearing the end of its run, which will leave a big gap in the Weekly Shonen Jump lineup. It would also coincide with the ending of the Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War anime arc later in the year. However, despite all the reasons why Bleach could be returning in the near future, it still remains pure speculation.
What is Bleach: TYBW Part 4 release date?

The final cour of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War is set to premiere on July 25, 2026. Like in previous cours, it will stream on Hulu in the US and Disney+ in other regions. The fourth cour, titled The Calamity, is the final batch of episodes, covering the very end of the Bleach manga.
Will TYBW Cour 4 be the last?
The fourth part of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War will be the last, as it covers the final chapters of the original manga. As there isn’t currently any further material to adapt, it is expected that this will be the final outing for Ichigo and his friends in anime form. At least, for now.
