Meet Nurse Pete, who series co-creator Michael Walsh says is "one of the scariest killers" in Image Comics' Exquisite Corpses

We’ve been sharing pieces of information about James Tynion IV and Michael Walsh’s upcoming Image Comics and Tiny Onion series (and card game) Exquisite Corpses for a while now, but here’s a particularly big reveal for everyone: one of the 12 killers that will be invading the town of Oak Valley, Maine this Halloween to see who’s the deadliest of them all — and, in the process, decide who gets to run the country for the next five years.

Nine of the 12 have already been revealed — Leopold Strong, Recluse, Fox Mask Killer, Pretty Boy, Lady Carolina, The Congregation, Rascal Randy, Layla Blaze, and Slater — each one vying for a particularly nasty title as the first 13-issue arc of the series unfolds. (Each issue will offer a March Madness-style playoff bracket for fans to keep track of who’s succeeding as the killers face off against each other throughout the run.) But… why don’t we see if we can find another one of the killers, shall we?

Well, hello, Nurse.

Here’s what series co-creator (and killer designer) Michael Walsh has to say about him, too: "Nurse Pete is, to me, one of the scariest killers. The kind of killer you hear about in true crime podcasts. The type of killer that makes you scared to go to the hospital. This is the kind of man who wears a smile as a mask, hiding a monster just under the surface. Meeting him sends shivers down your spine, but you're not absolutely sure why. He's got one of the highest kill counts prior to the games but has never shed a drop of blood."

Okay, now I’m scared.

You can see more of Nurse Pete — and all of the other killers (and thankfully, quite a few non-killers, even if you probably shouldn’t get too attached to them) when Exquisite Corpses #1 is released May 14.
