Witch Hat Atelier release schedule (Updated June 2026): When chapter 98 of the magical manga will be released
Witch Hat Atelier remains one of the most beautifully drawn manga out there, so here is when the next chapter is coming out

The Witch Hat Atelier release schedule has been a bit rocky over the years. With art that is generally gorgeous and a story that is both heartwarming and tragic in equal doses, it is a grand undertaking for creator Kamome Shirahama. There have been several short hiatuses in the nearly 10-year run of the manga, so follow our Witch Hat Atelier release schedule to keep up-to-date with the latest news.
How often do Witch Hat Atelier chapters come out?
Most months, a new Witch Hat Atelier chapter is released on the fourth Thursday of the month in Japan, which translates to Wednesday in the US thanks to time zones. These chapters are usually translated into English within a week of their Japanese release, though there have been occasional delays in translated chapters being posted online.
What is the Witch Hat Atelier 98 release date?

The Witch Hat Atelier 98 release date is July 23, 2026 in Japan, which will be July 22, 2026 in the US. It was previously scheduled for June 25, 2026, but got delayed as the creator needed more time for the chapter. It is currently a busy period for Witch Hat Atelier; not only is the manga still ongoing, but the tenth anniversary of the first chapter is coming up in July 2026 and the first season of the long-awaited anime has finally wrapped up.

Where can I read Witch Hat Atelier?

Will there be a Witch Hat Atelier Season 2?

There has not been an official announcement about Witch Hat Atelier Season 2. After more than three years in production, the Witch Hat Atelier anime was finally released in April 2026. When its final episode aired on June 22, 2026, rumors were already circulating that season 2 was in production by Bug Films. However, these have, thus far, been speculation on the part of fans. No official source can be found to confirm that Witch Hat Atelier Season 2 is in production.
What is Witch Hat Atelier Kitchen?
Witch Hat Atelier Kitchen is a spin-off manga that focuses on slice-of-life moments and character interactions that wouldn't fit into the main manga. It gets its name from the core concept, which is that every chapter includes a dish or meal prepared by one of the characters. It also includes the recipe to create said meal. Many of the recipes include fictional ingredients, so an index is included that gives the best real-world equivalent. It is not necessary to read to follow the main plot of Witch Hat Atelier, but is a fun concept.
Why is Witch Hat Atelier so popular?
Witch Hat Atelier is so popular because of the beautiful artwork and captivating story. There is an earnestness to Coco’s journey as she studies magic, but it is tempered by the tragedy that set her on this journey. Coco became Qifrey’s apprentice both to fulfil her dream of learning magic and to find a way to undo the magic that turned her mother to stone. Over the years, Witch Hat Atelier has earned several awards for its art and storytelling, including a Harvey Award for Best Manga and the Eisner Award for Best US Edition of International Material – Asia.
