Eagle-eyed X-Men fans got to read their next chapter a little earlier than expected, but don't bet on that happening again. In case you didn't notice, the Gail Simone-written, Luciano Vecchio-drawn Uncanny X-Men #35 went up on digital a full two weeks before the physical copy was slated to appear on physical shelves, and according to the writer herself, this was an error.

Simone recently took to Facebook to explain what was going on after the issue, slated for release September 13, appeared on digital marketplaces before August had come to a close.

"So a weird thing happened with Uncanny X-Men #35," wrote the longtime comics vet, "They just figured it out late yesterday. It was not a scheduling issue, the issue was long completed. But for some reason, the digital release came out two weeks before the physical one. They caught it before it affects other issues. That has been adjusted, I am told, and it won't happen with future issues. It kind of sucks, we apologize for any inconvenience!"

In case you haven't been following the book, Uncanny X-Men puts well-known heroes like Rogue, Gambit, and Nightcrawler into the path of a new batch of Mighty Mutants known as The Outliers, bringing a Southern Gothic vibe to what began as Marvel's 'From the Ashes' X-Men relaunch in 2024. Two years later, the comic continues to bring creeping horror into the world of X-Men, with the next issue introducing no less than a Mutant exorcist.

Who, if you were one of the lucky few who caught Marvel's mistake before they corrected it, you may have already met.

Uncanny X-Men #35 comes to comic shops September 13 (for real this time).
