The Yotsuba release schedule has always been a bit unpredictable and infrequent. Because the mangaka approaches the series as a hobby rather than a full-time job, they can only produce a few new chapters a year. If you’re not sure when the next Yotsuba chapter will be released, our release schedule is here to clarify for you.

How often are new Yotsuba chapters released?

There is no set schedule for when new Yotsuba chapters are released. On average, we might get one or two new chapters a year. The pace of release has slowed down to the extent that it is mostly a pleasant surprise when new Yotsuba chapters come out.

When is Yotsuba chapter 115 coming out?

There is no official release date for Yotsuba chapter 115. The previous chapter, Yotsuba 114, was released as part of the Yotsuba Volume 16 release. This collection hit Japanese shelves in February 2025 and got an official English translation in January 2026. Because of the erratic release schedule for the Yotsuba manga, it is not clear when we’ll get another chapter in the future.

Upcoming Yotsuba release schedule:

  • Yotsuba 115 release date: To Be Announced
  • Yotsuba 116 release date: To Be Announced
  • Yotsuba 117 release date: To Be Announced

Why is Yotsuba released so infrequently?

There is no official reason why Yotsuba is released so infrequently, but the likely reason is that Kiyohiko Azuma is busy with other work and doesn’t have time to dedicate to Yotsuba. Despite its popularity, he primarily does Yotsuba as a hobby. As such, there is a limit to how much time he can spend on it.

Is Yotsuba a boy or a girl?

Yotsuba is a 5-year-old girl who lives with her adoptive father. Like many young children, she displays behaviors that don’t necessarily fit into typical gender norms, but it is always clear that she is a girl.

Why is there no Yotsuba anime?

Despite its global popularity, there are no plans for a Yotsuba anime. The reason for this is that creator Kiyohiko Azuma doesn’t feel that the unusual pacing and storytelling of Yotsuba would be effective as an anime.

Is Yotsuba appropriate for kids?

Yotsuba is one of the most child-friendly manga you will find. It is delightfully wholesome and focuses on Yotsuba’s interactions with the world as she discovers new things. There is no danger or peril, and everything is told from a 5-year-old’s perspective.

Is Yotsuba autistic?

Despite her naivety and lack of understanding about the world around her, Yotsuba is not officially autistic. Many fans interpret her behavior as being similar to autistic people, but nothing in the manga confirms this.

Why is Yotsuba the 4chan mascot?

For years, Yotsuba has been the unofficial mascot for the infamous internet messaging board 4chan. The reason for this has become somewhat obscured over time, but it likely started because Yotsuba’s green hair resembles the 4chan logo. Over the years, Yotsuba has appeared on the 404 error page for 4chan as well as some user messages and banner ads.

Where can I read Yotsuba?

The only official way to read Yotsuba in English is to buy the collected volumes. These have been released by Yen Press, with the most recent one, Volume 16, coming out in early 2026.

Why is it called Yotsuba&?

The official title of the manga is Yotsuba&?, which is often shortened by fans to Yotsuba. The reason for the unusual punctuation in the title is the format of chapter titles. Every chapter starts with "Yotsuba and...", which is why the title is formatted that way.
