Disney CEO Bob Chapek reveals the 2022 Disney Legends award winners - along with a few surprises
The 2022 D23 Expo kicks off Friday, September 9 with the annual Disney Legends Awards ceremony. Tamron Hall and Disney CEO Bob Chapek are scheduled to lead the 90-minute presentation that will formally recognize this year's receipents of the Disney Legends Award. The announced list is Anthony Anderson, Kristen Bell, Chadwick Boseman, Rob’t Coltrin, Patrick Dempsey, Robert Price “Bob” Foster, Jonathan Groff, Don Hahn, Josh Gad, Doris Hardoon, Idina Menzel, Chris Montan, Ellen Pompeo, and Tracee Ellis Ross (although expect some surprises!).
In addition to awards and speeches, look forward to an early look at the company's plans for Disney 100 Years of Wonder event, as well as musical performances from the Broadway cast of Aladdin and The Lion King, as well as thr touring Frozen cast.
