F1 25 release date: The latest entry in EA's high speed racing franchise is about to pass you at a high speed

The third entry in the Braking Point storyline is probably the most exciting part of F1 25.

Sometimes, you just want to go fast. When that need for speed strikes, no sport can scratch that itch quite like Formula 1 racing. Most of us can’t hop into the cockpit of these racers without reducing it to a burning pile of rubble, but we can play games like F1 25 to get a feel for the action. With the F1 25 release date coming up almost as fast as the cars it features, we won’t have to wait long to feel the burning rubber beneath our tires.

As the number implies, EA brings out a new F1 game every year, giving fans an updated roster of racers and cars to pick from. The F1 25 release date is May 30, 2025 and will feature the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Oscar Piastri, and Carlos Sainz Jr. for players to control as they race around the track at speeds that frankly make our stomachs turn just thinking about them.

While racing games aren’t generally known for their rich story, the F1 series does put a decent effort into creating a compelling narrative. F1 25 features the third entry in the Braking Point story mode which follows a handful of fictional racers as they rise through the ranks and vie for the World Championship. We’ll also get to play through scenarios inspired by the upcoming F1 film, which is a clever bit of cross-marketing.

F1 25 races onto shelves on 30 May, 2025 with versions available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
