For a franchise that's achieved the recognition Five Nights at Freddy's, it's kind of wild to consider how little of the world'd lore is 100% confirmed. The upside to that is that the FNAF community is absolutely loaded with juicy fan theories - and we're not just talking about the Reddit community. The folks involved in making the games also have their own favorite bits of head canon, and at MCM London Comic Con in May of 2023, one of those creatives revealed hers.
Marta Svetek does the voice for the characters of Gregory and Roxanne in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach. Alongside her costar Kellen Goff (Glamrock Freddy), Svetek joined FNAF streamer Dawko on stage for a talkback and audience Q&A. Naturally, one of the attendees was interested in what the cast thought of the franchise's mysterious lore, and Svetek was only too happy to share.
After she made an important disclaimer, that is.
"I'm just gonna preface this by saying," began the star, "I don't know [the lore] because I chose not to know. So I can't spoil anything because I genuinely don't know. I'm just going to say that."
Alright, noted. We won't take this as fact, will we readers? (For real, don't.)
"But I actually love the Gregory as a robot theory," continued Svetek. "I find it so interesting. I find it like it's such an interesting take. And like I said, I don't know. So this is not a confirmation or anything."
But you know who doesn't care for this theory? Panel host Dawko.
"No!" the streamer screamed, "I think Gregory is just a normal kid just wandering around the pizzalpex getting into trouble! The the robot theory is... it's just so it's too much, man. I can't handle it."
Just to confirm - you are OK with the haunted animatronics, right?
