The cast and crew of BBC & Netflix's A Good Girl's Guide to Murder TV series just left the stage at London's MCM Comic Con, and the beating heart of the panel was Holly Jackson - the author and creator of the franchise, with her hit book of the same name.

As the panel started off, Jackson was asked how it feels for the book coming to fruition like this - and doing her first main stage comic con panel.

"I think I've peaked too soon," Jackson says self-effacingly, when asked about the book's success. . "I can only be downhill from here."

When the cast brought up how her subsequent novels have also been best-sellers, Jackson rebutted them saying "none of them can compare, and I'm like 'Wait, I'm getting better!"

"But no, it is the hill I had to die on," says Jackson. " But when it first published, I remember having a conversation ith myself, looking in the mirror. 'You've got this. It's only going to sell 200 copies, and that's good and its getting your foot in the door and then you'll write more books.' LIke, 'you got this, girl.'"

And then, it sold "a few more" than 200 copies.

"I think there's probably more than 200 people in here," says Jackson, referring to the assembled fans in the MCM Comic Con Main Stage - a stage this panel was upgraded to just a few days prior to the event.

"It's bananas. It's still kind of like a 'pinch me' moment that I haven't really... pinch me, Asha."

Asha Banks, who plays Cara Ward on the show, then pinches Holly on stage.

"Oh not so hard! it didn't work," says Jackson. "I did have a moment of 'this is pretty cool' when I walked into the table read for the first time and saw all these human beings who were characters out of my head. I was weird."

"Literally the first thing Holly said to me was 'Oh my god, you came out of my brain!" says Banks.

"Also, me and Asha are like the same person. It's very strange. WE say the same things at the same time.
