Loudermilk has been on Netflix for almost a month by now, and you might be reaching the end of season 3 and left wanting more (check out our guide on what to watch after Loudermilk). Although the series ended in 2020, the breakthrough success of the show now that it's on Netflix has actually led to talks being underway about reviving the show.

Ricky Blitt, who played 'New Guy' on Loudermilk and was also a writer, says plans are afoot.

"Thanks for watching and loving the show," says Ricky Blitt. "We’re all very hopeful there will be more and very soon there will be meetings to discuss that."

We reached out to Loudermilk co-creator Bobby Mort, who said he's ready to go. "I think the gang would be up for more, but it's really out of our hands whether anyone wants to take on producing new episodes," says Mort. "[Peter Farrelly] and I have got lots of ideas and if we had the opportunity, I'd like to think we could re-recruit Team Loudermilk."

Farrelly actually spelled out some of his ideas for future seasons back in 2022.

“It is the year Loudermilk gets his mojo back,” Farrelly told Deadline. “He writes a book at end of Season 3, it’s all about the music world. It becomes a huge smash hit in Season 4. And all of a sudden, he is back in the game, people are inviting him to parties, and he is hanging out with real musicians. Now the question is, will he have time for that sad, sad group he has been babysitting for the last three years? Will he be able to maintain the sobriety now that he is back in the fast lane?”

Farrelly had ambitious plans at the time, painting a picture of seven seasons of Loudermilk. “We want to do Season 4, Season 5, Season 6, Season 7,” he said. “I want to keep going because I know where it is going, where I want it to be in 6-7 years.”

So what's the hold up? Money, as with many things in life.

"Yes, my impression is that someone would need to come up with the funds to do it and probably have a home for it," says Mort.

So now the ball is in Netflix's court. Sony Entertainment owns Loundermilk, and seems ready to do a deal with the streamer - or another party (if you know anyone!).

Loudermilk seasons 1 through 3 are available now on Netflix.

Netflix's Loudermilk is a hit - and its backstory is even more tragic (and meta) than its Ron Livingston's character's.
