The leaked Five Nights at Freddy's 2 popcorn bucket is surprisingly wholesome if you don't think about it too hard

Sure, take a miniature version of killer animatronics along to see Five Nights at Freddy's 2. What could go wrong?

Going to the cinema isn’t just about the movie you see; there is the whole experience that comes with it. More and more, that experience includes getting a collectible popcorn bucket. With Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 set to be one of the big movies releasing this holiday season, we’re not surprised it is getting its own novelty popcorn button, and, thankfully, it isn’t as unsettling as we expected.

While other popcorn buckets have leaned into the weird and, occasionally, the unsettling, the new popcorn bucket for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is significantly more wholesome, at least at first glance. Admittedly, this isn’t the officially revealed popcorn bucket for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2; instead, it is the design that has leaked online in the buildup to the film’s release in early December. It shows Freddy Fazbear, Chica, and Toy Bonnie on stage, presumably before their days of murdering children. According to the post, the whole thing lights up and fills with popcorn behind the stage.

Again, this design has not been confirmed by Regal Cinemas, who the initial post claims will be selling the bucket, so we shouldn’t get too attached to the design in case it isn’t true. It certainly doesn’t seem like it has much room behind the stage for popcorn, but we do kinda dig the idea of taking the animatronics of Five Nights at Freddy’s to see a movie. We just hope they don’t end up learning anything from it.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is out in cinemas on December 5, 2025.
