Disgraced actor Kevin Spacey has directed the most bizarre sounding sci-fi comeback film starring Rocky, Fast & Furious, and Deadpool actors
The movie, titled Holiguards, is currently in post-production and marks Kevin Spacey's "triumphant" return to Hollywood following a string of sexual misconduct allegations against him.

What do you do when you’re an Oscar-winning actor whose career came to a grinding halt after credible accusations of sexual abuse and misconduct came to light? Apparently, you go and direct the most bizarre ensemble cast in movie history in a movie that feels like word salad spat out by the most drunken AI like Kevin Spacey has. His new movie, which stars actors from Rocky, Fast and Furious, and Deadpool movies, was filmed in Mexico last year and is in post-production right now.
Kevin Spacey directs and stars in the movie, which has the working title of Holiguards and features Dolph Lundgren, Tyrese Gibson, and Brianna Hildebrand. We’re going to post the full, unedited description of Holiguards because if we try to summarize it we’ll come across as somehow trying to satirize it and we need you to understand that this is a real movie that real people spent real money to make.
According to Variety, who first inflicted the news about Holiguards onto the unsuspecting public, “’Holiguards’ is set against the backdrop of a near-future world fractured by hidden supernatural forces, where two ancient warrior factions — the Holiguards and the Statiguards — wage a secret war for control of humanity’s fate. Amid this conflict, a young woman discovers that she’s the daughter of two rival leaders and could end the conflict. Meanwhile, a Statiguard strategist prepares a catastrophic attack in Paris using a nuclear device and an army of mind-controlled civilians, channeling energy from a cosmic portal to awaken an ancient force known as the Prime.”
So it’s kind of a supernatural Hatfields and McCoys with a touch of Underworld thrown in and starring the second-best Rocky villain, the sixth-best Fast & Furious character, and a disgraced Oscar-winner looking to sneak his way back into the industry. We’re seldom caught off-guard by announcements but hats off to Kevin Spacey for managing to do just that. Honestly, if he wasn’t involved, we’d think this could be a solid B-movie send-up with a better cast than it deserves considering its intensely silly concept.
No release date has been set for Holiguards, which is currently looking for distributors as it finishes post-production.
