Simon Kinberg has helped shape pop culture over the past decade. Kinberg wrote the screenplay for X-Men: Days of Future Past, a sprawling adaptation of the iconic two-issue storyline from Marvel Comics, and he’s produced the upcoming movie adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, The Running Man. Let’s also not forget that Kinberg co-created the animated show, Star Wars: Rebels, and has been tapped by Kathleen Kennedy at Lucasfilm to write and produce a new trilogy of Star Wars films.
Our video producer, Ashley Victoria Robinson, spoke with Simon Kinberg about his career writing, producing, and executive producing films like Deadpool, The Martian, The Gifted, Chappie, and A Haunting in Venice for our members-only video interview series, Popversations. You can watch the interview below and see why Kinberg believes he would be useless in an alien invasion, why he loves Andor so much, and more.
