Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 - Thinking if Netflix will renew it

During its first week, Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender was, despite a handful of marketing slip ups from the cast and crew, the most popular show on the streaming site, so people are eagerly awaiting the chance to see Aang in action again. Fans of the original animated series know that many of the series’ best moments - from the Gaang's arrival in Bah Sing Se to the introduction of fan-favorite character Toph - are still to come, but when can we expect to see season two of the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series from Netflix?
As of yet, there hasn’t been any confirmation from Netflix that they’ll renew Avatar: The Last Airbender for more episodes, but we’re cautiously optimistic about the possibility of the show’s return. Within its first four days, it had been streamed for more than 150 million hours worldwide and was Netflix’s number one show in dozens of territories. This success, coupled with rumors that the second season has already been worked on in the writer's room, will probably be enough to convince the streaming service that the high production costs are justified and to order at least one more season, but we won’t know until they make an official announcement.
There is probably a good reason why Netflix is waiting to make any sort of announcement about the show's future. They may be waiting to see how many people reach the end of the show to gauge how eager they are for a second season of Avatar: The Last Airbender. After all, people are unlikely to watch future episodes if they don't finish the first season. This was the case with their One Piece adaptation, where they waited around two weeks after the series premiere to announce that they were ordering a second season. If Avatar: The Last Airbender follows the same pattern, we get confirmation about the future of the show by the middle of March 2024.
