Cloning is one of the trickiest philosophical questions raised in science fiction, which is why we expect the genre to continue giving us new and interesting takes on this controversial topic. Orphan Black: Echoes, the latest follow-up to the 2013 show that launched a multi-media franchise, is poised to give its own unique twist on the topic when its US release date finally arrives.

Orphan Black: Echoes has been hit by multiple delays since it was first announced – originally it was rumored to debut in March 2023 to coincide with the 10th anniversary of Orphan Black, but it was then scheduled to come out in “late 2023” but that premiere only happened for Australian audiences. Now, we finally have an American release date for Orphan Black: Echoes. The first episode will premiere on June 23, 2024 on AMC, AMC+, and BBC America.

Starring Jessica Jones’ Krysten Ritter as a woman named Lucy who has an “unimaginable origin story” that will probably serve as the basis for many of the show’s incoming twists, Orphan Black: Echoes is set in the same universe as the original show but probably won’t crossover in a significant way. This makes it the perfect point for new fans to jump in and explore this fascinating world while expanding a world where nothing is quite as it seems.

Joining Ritter in the cast are Keeley Hawes, Amanda Fix, Avan Jogia, Rya Kihlstedt, and James Hiroyuki Liao. Orphan Black: Echoes’s release date for US audiences is June 23, 2024 on AMC, AMC+, and BBC America.
