Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball was many people’s first introduction to anime, with Dragon Ball Z becoming one of the most influential Shonen shows in the West for many years. However, years later, Toei would recut Dragon Ball Z to remove the filler and fix some animation mistakes. The result is Dragon Ball Z Kai, which is, in our opinion, the best way to experience Goku’s journey – and Amazon’s Black Friday sale is the best time to pick it up.
Almost every episode of Dragon Ball Z Kai is available on Blu-ray during the 2024 Amazon Black Friday sale, with some pretty deep markdowns to let you pick it up without breaking the bank. The discounts range from over 50% to 16% depending on which part you need to complete your collection.
The exact discount varies depending on which part of Dragon Ball Z Kai you buy:
- Dragon Ball Z Kai Part 1 – 56% off
- Dragon Ball Z Kai Part 2 – 16% off
- Dragon Ball Z Kai Part 3 – 46% off
- Dragon Ball Z Kai Part 4 – 55% off
- Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters Part 1 – 34% off
- Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters Part 2 – 34% off
- Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters Part 3 – 52% off
It is worth noting that it is just the Dragon Ball Z Kai Blu-rays that are on sale during the Black Friday sale, so folks looking for something to add to their DVD collection will be sadly out of luck. However, this is still one of the most affordable ways to add Goku’s complete adventure to your collection. If you want, you can even snag several of the (non-canon) movies to your shelf at the same time.
