Some things are just good together. Movies and popcorn, peanut butter and jelly, and marshmallows over a campfire.

James Gunn’s DC Universe is still in its early years, but there is already one pairing that we’re all hoping to see. The animated series Creature Commandos introduced G.I. Robot, a robot whose only desire in life is to slaughter Nazis. Peacemaker season two introduced the DCU’s version of Earth-2, which is a planet inhabited by Nazis (making it more like the comics version of Earth-X).

Think about how much fun it would be to see G.I. Robot making his way through that planet. In fact, a fan recently asked G.I. Robot voice actor Sean Gunn about this exact scenario.

“If G.I. Robot made it into the Nazi Earth in Peacemaker season two, would that be a dream come true for him,” a fan asks during a Emerald City Comic Con 2026 panel. “YES,” Sean Gunn enthusiastically answers. If Gunn’s excitement was any indication, he’s probably thought about this idea a few times.

Earlier in the panel, Gunn revealed that he’s currently recording G.I. Robot’s lines for Creature Commandos season two. “I’m currently working on season two of this show called Creature Commandos on HBO Max, and I play a character named G.I. Robot who’s been around fighting Nazis since World War II. Bless his heart, I think there’s a lot of use today for G.I. Robot. I think the idea that there is an overlap between those who fight fascism and are opposed to it on all its levels.”

No word on if G.I. Robot will make it to Earth-2, but it would certainly be one of the most memorable (and satisfying) moments ever seen in DCU.
