Lance Reddick had a storied career that set him apart. From his work in The Wire to John Wick to Fringe, Reddick cemented himself as a standout actor of his generation. One of his final on-screen roles was for another genre project - Disney+'s adaptation of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series. In the final few episodes of the first season, Reddick brought gravitas and a current of power to Zeus, father of the gods.
At this year's D23 Percy Jackson and the Olympians panel executive producer Dan Schotz took a moment to remember Lance Reddick and his time on the show. "He was such an exceptional colleague, friend," Schotz shared. "We miss him terribly. Every time I see him on screen I feel so proud that he was a part of this.”
Schotz also mentioned that Reddick's wife reached out and said that she was grateful and honored that Reddick was a part of the show. You can read more about Reddick's storied career in Graeme McMillan's obituary of the actor here.
