Elle Season 1 release date: When the Legally Blonde prequel series streams on Prime Video

The prequel series to the beloved Legally Blonde franchise has already been renewed for a second season

Legally Blonde, starring Reese Witherspoon, originally debuted in theaters in 2001, but the movie remains incredibly popular today. So popular, in fact, that Prime Video is releasing a prequel series this spring. Set in the 1990s, the show will feature Lexi Minetree in the role of the teenage Elle Woods. So, when can you plan on the arrival of the release date for Elle Season 1 on Prime Video?

The Elle Season 1 release date is July 1st, 2026 on Prime Video. It has been a been a quarter of a century since the debut of the original movie. The first season of Elle will consist of eight episodes, and the show has already been renewed for a second season ahead of its release. But of course, Elle Season 1 is just one of the many upcoming small-screen release dates you'll want to keep in mind. An official trailer for Elle Season 1 has yet to be made available.

In Elle, viewers will see the story of the titular character's formative high school years. The show boasts Witherspoon as an executive producer. In addition to Minetree as Elle, June Diane Raphael will appear as Elle’s mother Eva and Tom Everett Scott will play the role of her father, Wyatt. Additional cast members include Gabrielle Policano, Jacob Moskovitz, Chandler Kinney, Zac Looker, Jessica Belkin, Logan Shroyer, Amy Pietz, Matt Ober, Chloe Wepper, David Burtka, Brad Harder, Kayla Maisonet, Lisa Yamada and James Van Der Beek.

The release date for Elle Season 1 on Prime Video is July 1st, 2026.
