The journey of The Ghoul, played by Walton Goggins in the Fallout series from Prime Video, has only gotten more personal as Season 2 has played out. We’ve seen his determination to find his family get him shot, impaled, and abducted by a Ron Perlman Super Mutant. However, the actor promises that the season finale of Fallout Season 2 not only has his favorite scene in the entire show but also encapsulates The Ghoul’s entire journey so far.

The Ghoul is one of the three main characters of Fallout, but most of his screentime has actually been before the end of the world. Roy Cooper, who would eventually become The Ghoul after the bombs dropped and the world became a Wasteland, is a study in how far someone would go to protect their family. He loses everything, even his humanity, in his quest to find his wife and daughter, so when Walton Goggins describes the focus of his character as “family, family, family,” it isn’t a surprise. However, during a recent interview, Goggins gave a few hints for the upcoming Fallout Season 2 finale, and, surprise surprise, it has to do with a different kind of family.

“I can tell you that in episode 8, without giving something away to your audience, something profound happens for both the Ghoul and Lucy that would also be my favorite, but we can’t talk about that,” Walton Goggins said.

The season finale of Fallout Season 2, where the bargain that The Ghoul has struck to save his family will presumably be revealed, comes slightly earlier than we expected. Episode 8 airs on Prime Video on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 6:00 pm PT/ 9:00 pm ET.
