Hazbin Hotel season 5 announced as the end of the Prime Video animated series, giving us 3 more seasons in Hell

We've still got three full seasons of Hazbin Hotel coming, so don't be scared that Hell is ending anytime soon

As much as fans might want Hazbin Hotel to continue forever, the truth is that the story will need to end eventually. After two massive seasons as one of Prime Video’s biggest shows, Amazon has confirmed that the end is in sight... just not anytime soon. Prime Video has officially confirmed that Hazbin Hotel Season 5 has been greenlit, but that it will also be the final season of the show. Even Hell has to end eventually.

At Las Vegas's LVL UP Expo, Prime Video confirmed that it had renewed the hit animated adult musical comedy series for a fifth season, with the stipulation that this would be the final season of Hazbin Hotel. However, this doesn’t seem to be a case of Prime Video pulling the plug on the show, as the series’ creator has always hinted that it wasn’t meant to go on forever. “I’m so thankful for how Prime Video has championed our vision at SpindleHorse, and I’m grateful for their partnership and commitment to bringing Hazbin Hotel to its epic conclusion,” series creator Vivienne 'VizziePop' Medrano said in a statement. “I’m so excited for fans to see how this story ends.”

Hazbin Hotel Season 2 aired in 2025, so even the news that Season 5 will be the final season of the show still means that we’re not even halfway through the story that Medrano set out to tell. The final season likely won’t air until 2028 or 2029 at the earliest. While it is probably disappointing that Hazbin Hotel has to end at all, at least they have the chance to finish their story in a way that will satisfy fans.

Hazbin Hotel Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Prime Video now.
