Marvel’s Charlie Cox would be thrilled to see Daredevil join the New Avengers
Charlie Cox would love Daredevil to join the MCU’s New Avengers (even though Matt is a loner)

New Avengers assemble! The MCU’s newest team came together earlier this year for the 2024 film Thunderbolts*. However, we can’t help but wonder if there’s room on their roster for another hero.
Daredevil actor Charlie Cox was recently asked how he would feel about Matt Murdock joining the group, and he didn’t completely dismiss the idea.
“That’s so funny. That’s a really good question,” Cox says during a panel at GalaxyCon New Orleans 2025. “I think Matt Murdock would kind of think about it. He’s a lone wolf; he likes to work by himself. He’s a reluctant kind of team-up guy I think. A bit like Frank Castle is. Charlie Cox would be absolutely thrilled. I would be chomping at the bit to do that.”
At the end of the day, something like this is up to Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, so take Cox’s words with a grain of salt. Still, I think the New Avengers would benefit from having Daredevil on the team. After all, most of the members could probably use a lawyer.
