The upcoming third season of Monster, the biographical crime drama anthology series created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, is arriving on Netflix soon. Monster Season 3: The Ed Gein Story will tell the tale of the titular suspected serial killer and convicted murderer, played by Charlie Hunnam. So, when can you expect to see Monster Season 3 on Netflix for yourself?

The Monster Season 3: The Ed Gein Story release date is October 3 on Netflix. Monster Season 3 will be comprised of eight episodes, all of which were written by Brennan. Each season of Monster focuses on a different killer or killers. The first season told The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and starred Evan Peters. Then Monster Season 2 told The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, starring Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch. And of course, the third season, telling The Ed Gein Story, is only one of the TV show release dates to pay attention to this fall. Here’s the official trailer for Monster: The Ed Gein Story:

In addition to Hunnam as Gein, Monster Season 3 will also feature Laurie Metcalf as Augusta, Gein’s mother. Meanwhile, Tom Hollander plays the legendary filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock, who notably directed the 1960 movie Psycho. And Olivia Williams plays screenwriter and film editor Alma Revile, who is also Hitchcock’s wife. Joey Pollari plays Anthony Perk, the actor who played Psycho’s Norman Bates. Finally, Suzanna Son will appear as Adeline Watkins, a woman who becomes romantically entwined with Gein.The season will be set in rural Wisconsin in the 1950s.
