If you only watch one show this week, then it really has to be… My Adventures with Superman, Season 3

All hail My Adventures with Superman, the Adult Swim/HBO Max animated series that offers a different take on the Man of Steel that feels both true to the spirit and mythology of Superman history and entirely fresh and contemporary at the same time. Expect that to only expand in this third season, which will introduce Jessica Cruz, a Green Lantern who is already due to appear in her own spin-off show, My Adventures with Green Lantern. (Oh, and we’ll get Cyborg Superman and more Supergirl, too.)

My Adventures with Superman, Season 3 debuts June 14 with new episodes weekly. The first two seasons are available to stream on HBO Max for those who need to catch up.

If you check out one movie this week, then it should be… Hoppers

Yes, we know that Toy Story 5 is the new Pixar movie in theaters soon (it’s released June 19, if you’re wondering), but I’ll be honest; I’m not feeling particularly inspired to see a fifth outing for Buzz, Woody and the gang. Instead, I’ll point to the fact that Pixar’s last movie is now available on Disney+, and it’s everything fans could want — an inventive, touching, funny story that isn’t a sequel, spin-off or related in any way to anything that’s come before. (Well, aside from a very funny shout-out to Avatar, but that’s part of the fun.) Hoppers is proof that “classic Pixar” isn’t a thing of the past. That it also features Jon Hamm’s best role since Confess, Fletch is just another reason to tune in.

Hoppers is available on Disney+ now.

If you can only pick up one comic this week, then make sure it’s… Charity & Sylvia

Tillie Walden isn’t just one of the leading cartoonists of her generation, she’s also one of the most willing to follow the muse no matter where it leads, going from the critically acclaimed YA graphic novel Spinning to three Walking Dead graphic novels centering around Clementine. Her new project is another pivot, telling the true story of two women in 19th century Vermont, as the two meet, fall in love, and grow old together as history unfolds around them. Based on letters and other writing of the period, Charity & Sylvia looks set to be another can’t miss graphic novel from one of the true can’t-miss creators around.

Charity & Sylvia will be in comic book stores on June 17, 2026.
