Have you ever watched Naruto and wondered what those characters might smell like? It’s okay, we’re not here to judge the weird questions that pop into your head as you watch anime. In fact, you’re apparently not alone, since an Indian company has come out with Naruto-inspired fragrances for you to spray on yourself before your next infiltration mission.
This isn’t the first time The Souled Store has teamed up with everyone’s favorite anime ninja; they released a range of Naruto clothing last year. Their website promises two new perfumes inspired by Naruto. The first one, titled Naruto: Hokage, is already available and features notes of “lemon, peppermint, aromatic – green apple, lavender, amber – vetiver, patchouli, and moss.” This is quite the collection of smells, but it probably smells better than the ramen and childhood trauma that Naruto actually smells like.
The other scent, titled Naruto: Akatsuki, isn’t available yet but probably smells like old trees and moon dust if they’re going to be inspired by the events of the anime. What is the smell of world domination plots, anyway? We bet they’ve got a hit of sulfur to them.
We’re not sure how early you need to order the Naruto fragrances to get it in time for the holidays. Considering that The Souled Store is based in Mumbai, you’re going to want to order it as early as possible. The good news is that it is listed as costing 1499 rupees, which comes out to around $18. This is a legit bargain for officially licensed merchandise in our experience.
"In the ninja world, those who don't follow rules are trash." as Obita Uchiha once said. And while we can't say these are rules, they are the king things you'll want to read next about Naruto:
